The possibility of J.K. Simmons returning as the lovable J. Jonah Jameson has been crushed by the recent breaking announcement:
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed J.K. Simmons has been cast as Commissioner James Gordon in the upcoming 'Justice League: Part One' film from DC Comics.
So this is our new James Gordon for the DC universe going forward, including future standalone Batman films.
'Justice League: Part One' stars Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and now J.K. Simmons (James Gordon.
The film will start shooting in April and is set to be released on November 17, 2017, directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio.
