The dark and gritty tone that ran through the core of Daredevil like criminals dashing through Hell's Kitchen was one of the many facets that made the first season such a resounding success.
Yet for all the binge watching and high-octane episodes, in the comic-book-character stakes we were only really treated to one main villain in the form of Vincent D'Onofrio's imposing and scene-stealing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
Viewers are in for a treat for Season 2, in which we'll be getting not one but two well-known Marvel faces added to the cast, in the form of ruthless mercenaries Elektra and the Punisher.
Although not much has been revealed of how the pair will appear during the series, an image posted on Imgur shows a collection of billboards in Toronto with all three main characters' attire.

The Anticipation Is Building!
So I think it's fair to say, judging from the above images, that all three look beyond awesome! The addition of Elodie Yung and Jon Bernthal as Elektra and Frank Castle, respectively, is great news for the show (I mean, come on, just look at the trailer below!).
Also, let's not forget that favorites from the first season will be returning, including Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Rosario Dawson, as well as, of course, leading man Charlie Cox.
Those of you eagerly anticipating the second season don't have too much longer to wait — in fact, only 10 days — as it'll be available to stream on Netflix from March 18.
Will the Punisher and Elektra cause more problems for Matt Murdock than Kingpin?
