We're a pop-culture and news group for everyone!

We love our fictional characters and it shows by the dollars generated by adapted works becoming hit movies in theatres, most recently Batman V Superman. With the rise of adapted fiction movies we see the rise in the caliber of actors/actresses who get cast as our favorite heroes and villains. This list is dedicated to all of the sexy ladies that have recently taken on the roles of beloved characters we have read in books and comic books or were cast in a nerdy/geeky type movie!

Anne Hathaway

Catwoman in Batman Rises

Making her comic debut playing a role known for having some sexy ladies in the catsuit (Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Halle Berry), Hathaway filled out the role and catsuit purrfectly...

Scarlett Johansson

Rebecca in Ghost World, Silken Floss in The Spirit, and Black Widow in Avengers

A fan favorite actress, Johansson is not just a pretty face. She's a fantastic actress who can capture your attention in many ways. Johansson readily admitted that she never read comics before taking on the role of Black Widow, but is now an avid fan of the medium.

Summer Glau

River Tam in Firefly, Orwell in The Cape, Gwen in Knights of Badassdom, and Cameron in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

One of the go to actresses for geeky productions, Glau has even spoofed her nerd whisperer capabilities in an episode of The Big Bang Theory where the guys attempt to woo her on a train ride. Sexy, smart, and funny, Glau has everything we nerds love in a woman.

Elizabeth Banks

Betty Brant in Spider-Man, Effie Trinket in the Hunger Games series, Wyld Style in The Lego Movie, and Rita Repulsa in the upcoming Power Rangers

Having played a pretty true to form Betty Brant in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, Banks got out attention with her charm and smile. However it was role in The Hunger Games franchise that solidified her nerd cred, which looks to get more secure with her upcoming part in The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as Rita Repulsa!

Evangeline Lilly

Tauriel in The Hobbit trilogy and Hope Van Dyne in Ant-Man

A newcomer to the Hall of Nerdiness, Lily stole our hearts in The Hobbit trilogy as the love Legolas could not have. It was her part as Hope Van Dyne that really got us revved for Ant-Man and her inclusion in the MCU pantheon of sexy heroines.

Deborah Ann Woll

Jessica Hamby in True Blood and Karen Page in Daredevil

Fist dropping our jaws in HBO's True Blood series a seductive, sexy, and barely clothed vampire, the striking red-head is now dropping jaws in Daredevil as Karen Page.

Emilia Clarke

Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys

The Queen of Dragons has been on every nerd's fantasy list since she debuted on GOT and her turn as Sarah Connor didn't disway them. One offs in Futurama and Robot Chicken only solidified her standing and nerd cred.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Royal Pain in Sky High, Mary Todd in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Beauty, brains, and did we say beauty? Winstead can play serious, funny, and the girl next door, making for a mixture that no one can resist. We were already in love with Ramona Flowers but seeing Winstead bring her to life upped the ante. Look for her in the recently released 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Natalie Portman

Princess Amidala in Star Wars Episodes 1-3, Evey Hammond in V for Vendetta, Jane Foster in Thor & Thor: The Dark World, and Taffy Dale in Mars Attacks!

Not many actresses on this list have had more roles in nerd movies than Portman. She has been on our radar for quite sometime and the strong women she plays only make her more appealing. Natalie, we love thee.

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman in Superman V Batman: Dawn of Justice

A newcomer to the nerdy movie clan, Gadot can legitimately kick ass seeing as how she was a member of the Israeli Defense Forces! That makes her more believable as Wonder Woman.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Pepper Potts in Iron Man 1-3 and The Avengers & The Avengers: Age of Ultron

What can we say about Paltrow that hasn't been said before? She is still as beautiful as ever and will hopefully continue on as Pepper Potts for sometime. Let's hope we get to see Rescue debut in the next Iron Man movie!

Jaimie Alexander

Sif in Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Stunning is the word best suited to describe Alexander. Whether as Sif or doing modeling work for magazines, Alexander is one of the most beautiful women we have ever seen.

Melissa Benoist

Supergirl in Supergirl

First winning us over with her charm on Glee, Benoist has done a spectacular job as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl. So much so that fans have clamored for her to join the DCEU on the big screen. We'd take flight with her anyday.

Chloe Bennett

Daisy Johnson/Quake in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

A beautiful hacker with superpowers? Can you say a nerd's dream come true? Bennett has come into her own as Quake in the hit series and hopefully can make the jump to the larger MCU soon.

Danai Gurira

Michonne in The Walking Dead

The samurai sword wielding, bad ass, zombie killer has shown that you can still look sexy in the apocalypse. This season we were treated to seeing a lot more of this beauty (and Rick too!) in that bedroom scene!

Zoe Saldana

Anamaria in Pirates of The Caribbean 1-3, Neytiri in Avatar, Uhura in Star Trek & Star Trek: Into Darkness, Aisha in The Losers, and Gamora in Guardians of The Galaxy 1 & 2

Saldana is another who loves being in our nerdy movies and we're glad! That smile, those eyes, those!

Margot Robbie

Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad and Jane Porter in The Legend of Tarzan

Robbie is set to have fans grovelling for sometime with her portrayal of Harley Quinn and her eventual part in one of the Batman films will keep this gorgeous woman around for a while.

Rachel Taylor

Teri Richards in Man-Thing, Maggie Madsen in Transformers, and Patricia Walker in Jessica Jones

Seemingly always the sidekick, this beauty is posed for her breakout star turn. Come on Marvel, give us a Hellcat Netflix series!

Danielle Panabaker

Layla Williams in Sky High, Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost in The Flash

The prototypical girl next door, Panabaker is enjoying a surge of popularity due to her role on The Flash. This gives us a weekly dose of seeing her grace our screens.

Mary-Louise Parker

Helen Grace in The Spiderwick Chronicles, Mildred Proctor in R.I.P.D., and Sarah Ross in RED & RED 2

Ah, that sly smile. Parker has been hypnotising men for a long time now and still looks as great today as she did back in the 80's. Beautiful. Sexy.

Adrianne Palicki

Lady Jaye in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Wonder Woman in (Unaired Pilot) Wonder Woman, and Bobbi Morse in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

We've heard that she's too pretty to be in comic movies. We say, "NAY!" We would love to see her get promoted to the MCU proper to team up with Hawkeye as they did in the comics, but any way we get to see her gorgeousness is fine with us!

Elizabeth Olsen

Elle Brody in Godzilla and Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Still new to the nerd pantheon Olsen has quickly cemented her place with her role of Scarlet Witch. Those eyes could put us under her spell anytime.

Olivia Munn

Ches Roberts in Iron Man 2 and Psylocke in X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

A nerd unicorn for certain. She loves comics, tech, cosplay, dungeons & dragons, and video games! Not to mention she's absolutely beautiful and was a co-host on Attack of The Show on G4, the nerdiest channel out there. Munn's the word.

Chloë Grace Moretz

Angie Steadman in Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass & Kick-Ass 2

Having grown into the stunning young woman that she is today, Moretz refuses to take on roles the overly sexualize her. Bravo. Beautiful and knows what she wants. Watch out Hollywood.

Sophie Turner

Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones and Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse

Having hair and eyes that capture attention immediately as well as that accent are just not fair. The lovely Turner is on the cusp of superstardom and has a chance to overtake Jennifer Lawrence in her own franchise!

Olivia Thirlby

Judge Anderson in Dredd

Being able to hold your own with the likes of Lena Headey, J.K. Simmons, Ellen Page, and Ben Kingsley to name a few says something about the talent level here. This deadly combo of beauty and talent will nab her plenty of roles for years to come.

Emma Stone

Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man

This is the living embodiment of Gwen Stacy. The girl next door who can leave you not wanting to look at anyone else, ever. Hopefully we get to see Stone take the lead in a potential Spider-Gwen movie!

Krysten Ritter

Jessica Jones in Jessica Jones

She wowed us with her portrayal of the hard nosed Jessica Jones in the Netflix series and will continue to do so in Luke Cage and The Defenders. The jet black hair, fair skin, and green eyes make her standout and you will notice.

Candice Patton

Iris West in The Flash

Another stunner from The Flash TV show, Patton is gorgeous without being overly sexualized, and that is awesome. She's the girl you want to take home to meet the parents.

Rosario Dawson

Valerie Brown in Josie & The Pussycats, Persephone in Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief, Laura Vasquez in Men In Black II, Gail in Sin City 1 & 2, Clare Temple in Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage

Another high profile actress who loves her roles in nerdy movies, Dawson is a definite head turner. Having a sexy exotic look and capable of playing a goddess or regular girl she is someone poised to be atop our nerd lists for years.

Hayley Atwell

Mother in Cinderella and Peggy Carter in Captain America and Agent Carter

This Brit is probably one of our top 3 on this list and with good reason. She plays a strong, independent, beautiful, capable woman who is just as able to save the day as the men are. Atwell is the ideal heroine.

Elizabeth Henstridge

Jemma Simmons in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The cute/nerdy girl morphed into the tougher, no-nonsense, cute/nerdy girl this past season and will continue to show growth. Henstridge is not only gorgeous but one of the nicest and approachable women in real life.

Jennifer Lawrence

Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games and Mystique in X-Men: Apocalypse

A relative unknown when she took on the role of Mystique, Lawrence has since gone on to win Oscars and become one of the sexiest and most bankable actresses in a long time.

Natalie Dormer

Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, Cressida in The Hunger Games, and Pvt. Lorraine in Captain America

Those eyes and that smirk. Dormer is an actress primed to be around for years to come. Drama, Action, Comedy, Horror, you name it she'll do it. Extremely gorgeous and seductive, she is has a presence that cannot be denied.

Carla Gugino

Lucille in Sin City and Sally Jupiter in Watchmen

Gugino has come a long way since Son In Law! There is not a movie she appears in that we won't watch. She could make doing your taxes sexy. All we have to say to her is, thank you.

Lena Headey

Jocelyn Fray in The Mortal Instruments, Queen Gorgo in 300, Ma-Ma Madrigal in Dredd, Sarah Connor in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Lady Catherine De Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and let's not forget Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones

We believe that Headey is tops in the nerd pantheon of ladies. Always delivering a top notch performance in any role, always looking stunning, and definitely can out act some of the actors that share the screen with her. We hope she will keep taking on roles in our favorite nerdy movies for years to come.

There you have it our favorite nerdy ladies. Did we miss any? Who are your favorites? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for the guys turn next week!
