After a swath of positive reviews and grossing more than $414 million worldwide, it's no surprise that Fox is bringing back the fun British spy comedy Kingsman for a second (and maybe third) go-round. And we couldn't be happier about it.
Unfortunately, Colin Firth likely won't be returning for Kingsman: The Secret Service 2, but it sounds like Taron Egerton will still have more great co-stars working alongside him in the sequel.
Today, Deadline reported that Halle Berry is allegedly in talks to join director Matthew Vaughn's follow-up films, as the head of the CIA. We don't know exactly what kind of role that entails, but the Academy Award-winning actress has never been shy of playing an absolute badass.
Also rumored to be in talks to play the sequel's villain is another Academy Award-winning actress, one Julianne Moore. It's been a little while since we've heard word about Moore's involvement, but I'm still remaining hopeful that she'll take on the movie.
Principal photography for Kingsman 2 will begin next month, so I'm sure we'll be hearing more casting news soon.
'Kingsman 2' is scheduled for release on June 16, 2017.
