Spring has arrived and so, has the season of colours and movies. We will be a little cheerful, a little playful and apply colours on each other forgetting the enmity and animosity of years. In March falls the festival of Holi when new opportunities and fresh hopes would be celebrated and fulfilled. While the preparations are being made to mark the advent of Holi, we will also be welcoming the new HBO India, which decided to usher-in a different era of movie-viewing. From this day onwards, movie-watching would be a more colourful experience.

Given below are a few must-watch movies that would telecast this spring season.

Stardust

It is a romantic fantasy adventure flick of 2007. This film is about a countryside town close to a magical land where a young man promises his beloved to bring a fallen star from the mystical world. Tristan (Charlie Cox) is set to marry Victoria (Sienna Miller) and is hell bent on bringing her a fallen star in order to win her. For that, he is required to cross a forbidden wall beyond which lies an unseen magical kingdom of Stormhold. Here, Tristan discovers the star as a spirited woman named Yvaine (Claire Danes) injured from her cosmic tumble. Now, she is sought after by many including the scheming sons of a king to secure the throne as well as a by powerful witch for eternal youth. Despite all this, fate has something else in store as her paths cross with Tristan who is on the verge of discovering his real identity.

Richie Rich

This family comedy was released in 1994. Richie Rich (Macaulay Culkin) is the wealthiest kid in the world and has everything except friends. With his classmates being more interested in money, he is left with his butler, Cadbury (Jonathan Hyde) who is sympathetic to him. He finds him few working class kids to befriend. In the meantime, Laurence Van Dough (John Larroquette) is planning to get the entire Rich family killed in a plane crash. However, Richie has not boarded the airplane and is helped by Cadbury, Professor Keenbean and his new friends in his quest to find his parents.

Batman Begins

The 2005 action adventure movie focuses upon the Caped Crusader, a Batman of Gotham city. The story starts with a young Bruce Wayne whose life is a blessing with parents who are determined to improve the lives of people who played victim to the crime-ridden Gotham. His life changes the moment his parents are murdered and he is adamant on retribution until his childhood sweetheart called Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes) asks him to look beyond personal vendettas. He seeks tutelage of a mysterious, Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) who guides him to learn martial arts and gaining superhuman senses. Wayne returns back to Gotham after seven years to restore peace in the city under the secret name of Batman.

The Lego Movie

It is an animated adventure comedy film of 2014. It is about Emmet (Chris Pratt), a Lego minifigure who is tasked with saving the universe from the tyrannies of Lord Business (Will Ferrell). Though, the funny part is that Emmet is hilariously and hopelessly underprepared for the work.
