The traditional superhero team is so OVERRATED. For the past decade, do gooders, like Ironman, Superman, Captain America, and Batman, have dominated the box office. But audiences want a change, and in 2016 we're going to get it. Suicide Squad hit theaters in August in 2016, and moviegoers are going to get DC comic's most infamous group of antiheroes are gonna get the chance to save the day. This is the first in a series of articles breaking down the members of the Task Force X and what role they'll play in the SKWAD. This piece is going to breakdown DC Comics fan favorite character, who is all about her puddin'.
Name: Dr. Harleen Quinzel
Alter-Ego: Harley Quinn
Dr. Quinzel was a fresh faced psychiatrist starting off at Arkham Asylum, with her main goal being to study and understand extreme psychological disorders, like that of the Joker. But after her first time meeting him, Joker learned how to manipulate and influence Harleen's weak personality and personal insecurities, and made her fall in love with the Clown Prince of Crime. But as she fell madly in love with Joker, she also fell deep into madness, becoming her super villain alter-ego Harley Quinn and the Joker's partner in life and crime.
- Incredibly Agile: Harley used to be a gymnast in high school and college, which earned her a full ride scholarship to Gotham University in whatever field she wanted to study.
- Intelligence: Harley was a Doctor of psychology in her previous life with the ambition of earning a higher position at Arkham Asylum. But after she fell for the Joker, Harley began to use her brain power for more sinister causes
- Strong: Harley and Joker have the most infamously brutal relationship in comics. Although it may not be the most peaceful relationship, Harley certainly learned how to take (and throw) a punch!
- Fragile Sanity: If you mess with Harley's head and push her over the edge, she won't just fall... she'll plunge into the deep and dark side of her damaged psyche. The Joker has managed to worm his way into her head and caused Harley to lose her mind. Working with Harley is like walking through a minefield; with one misstep you could destroy everything
Anti-heroes are the new heroes! After the heroes fail to save the day, then it's going to be up to the villains and wrong-doers to stop the world from plunging into the chaos. And if they can't stop evil, no one can.
