We all know almost every show has its share of Easter Eggs, and when we find them it's generally not the first time we have seen that episode. The Walking Dead is no exception to that list with these 7 crazy things that you probably missed!

1. The Bible passages displayed in Father Gabriel’s church are all very morbid scripts.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” –Romans 6:4

“So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.” –Ezekiel 37:7

“And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose.” –Matthew 27:52

“And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.” –Revelations 9:6

“And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?” –Luke 24:5

Talk about some crazy stuff right there.

2. Hidden references to the zombie apocalypse

The writing above the arch comes from John 6:54 and reads: “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life."

What the hell kind of church is this right? These dudes could read the future or something.

3. Out of all the decapitated heads in the jars, do any of them look familiar?

Nothing? Look closer!
Nothing? Look closer!

Right there! This is the actual head of the Jaws movie corpse Ben Gardner!

The actual part in Jaws where the corpse was found! ^

4. Clocks point to the number of the episodes they appear in for the most part.

“So if you look at any of the stuff in the show…even when Carol picks up Rick’s watch off the table, it says 5:01. Every episode that we shoot we adjust the time on the watches and the clocks to whatever episode it is we’re shooting.”

Next time you guys see a watch, pause it and you'll notice this Easter Egg.

5. The show has tons of references to Dawn of the Dead and even contained a remake of this scence.

Let's be honest here, The Walking Dead didn't make it look nearly as corny as Dawn of the Dead but it's still great that they referenced that!

In conclusion

There are a ton of Easter Eggs in this show, and probably plenty more to come! I chose my favorite ones, but hopefully you'll find the rest of them! Thanks for reading and party on!

How long do you think Daryl has left in the show?
