Dear readers,

We are Freshscream Production, a young production house that has been making videos for a few years now. We make short films, music videos, promotional videos (visible on our Youtube channel). We are launching a new project: a fan film inspired to the Harry Potter universe. We want to tell the story of the origins of Voldemort, the villain of the saga.

To realise all of this, we have organised a crowdfunding campaign on, that started on March 12. This project is a non-profit fan film, so all the raised money will be invested in the making of the film. We are currently at 5.000 euros out of 15.000, with a total of 204.000 views on Youtube.

We hope that this news may be of interest to you and for a little donation on Kickstarter.

Help us share this awesome project!

About this project

After his graduation from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Tom Riddle disappears. He comes back ten years later, with new powers and a new name. His journey in search of the secrets of dark magic has deeply changed him, and it's up to two old acquaintances to stop him before he reaches his goal: immortality.

"Voldemort – Origins of the Heir" is a non-profit fan film, inspired by the Harry Potter universe. The idea was born while re-reading the sixth book of the saga, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. We wondered: what made Tom Riddle become Voldemort? What happened in those years, and what really went down at Hogwarts when he came back? There are some clues in the books – which have not been transposed at all in the movies-, but a lot goes unspoken. This is the story we want to tell: the rise of the Dark Lord before Harry Potter and his first demise. Freshscream Production is a small production house created by four young men. Gianmaria Pezzato, Stefano Prestia, Davide Panizza, Simone Panza are the people behind it, and so far have produced some short-films and videos (visible on Youtube).

The campaign aims at collecting 15.000 € to cover the production costs. These include: costumes and props, 3D animation and visual effects, music and sound design, photography and aerial videos, stock footages, make-up, locations and all the necessary to realize the film.

The film is a no profit project, all the professionals involved will dedicate their time and skills without receiving any payment, just a refund. All the money collected will be used to cover the actual costs.

You can donate any amount of money you like. Once the campaign is over, you will receive a little gift, according to the amount of the donation. Subscribe to our Youtube Channel and follow us on the social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr) to get the latest updates. Every week we'll be releasing a new video to show you how we are going to work on the film.

We know that with your help we can achieve this goal and share this adventure with you!

Risks and challenges

Voldemort - Origins of the Heir is a very ambitious project as you all could imagine. Because of the limited budget, we have only made the trailer shooting by our own actual means. There's so many man-hours that went into creating this. We began shooting in August 2015 and giving up at this point, it is just not an option. It is hard to find money for a movie, especially when none knows you and doesn't know how much work and dedication you put in what you do. We can only hope that you feel as excited about this project as we do and join us to create the most awesome Voldemort spin-off this world has ever seen.
