We have been in for quite the month so far and the best is yet to come. Coming off the success of Deadpool, March is going to initiate the Spring revolt of comic book community glory. With a pivotal casting call made for DC, a heavily anticipated trailer dropping, a certain popular Netflix series returning, AMC's zombie drama on the rise, and one of the biggest movies of the year less than two weeks away, NCAA is taking the backseat this month. Here's what I'm talking about.

J.K. Simmons Cast as Commissioner Gordon:

We all knew him for his outstanding performance as J. Jonah Jameson in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy. Since then, he's picked up an Oscar for his role in Whiplash and now has snagged the title as comics' favorite commissioner. Now, we won't see this unfold until next year in Justice League: Part 1. Now, while Commissioner Gordon is obviously not a superhero, he is definitely one of the most pivotal Batman characters and knowing he will be present in Justice League: Part 1 and that Warner Bros. has gotten a great actor to portray him, it's certainly a noteworthy piece of news that came to fruition this month.

Captain America: Civil War Trailer 2 Dropped:

This has been quite the hubbub since its release on Thursday and for good reason. We got to see the call for The Avenger's to be put in check due to excessive collateral damage, more intense fighting between heroes, and Ant-Man mount Hawkeye's arrow. Observe:

Oh ya. Not to mention, we got to see this guy too.

I'm the captain now
I'm the captain now

With all the aforementioned and quite a bit more present in trailer two, we now have more of an idea of what we're in for this May when Civil War roles around. Whether the trailer made you feel doubtful, overly excited, or anything else, admit it, you're going to see this movie no matter what. With this trailer now being out there and the contents observed within, there's certainly now even a bigger crowd going to swarm the cinemas when this film is released.

Daredevil Season 2:

Netflix's Daredevil established a new image for the Marvel name as this gritty, grounded series debuted last April. With praise all across the board and even grasping the title of #1 TV series on comicbook.com, it was inevitable it was to be renewed for a second season. Now, we are getting some of Marvel's more popular coming to the mix standing opposite of and beside Daredevil. These characters are obviously The Punisher and Elektra. With these exciting new additions and early screenings generating more positive reviews, we can't wait for Friday when all the season's episodes will finally release.

Walking Dead Season 6 Winding Down

This season thus far has been a string hanging by a thread; closer to snapping each week. With quite the mid-season intro with rocket launchers, Carl getting his eye shot out, and an excess of secondary characters dying, we knew we were in for something crazy. The following weeks, we met the character known as "Jesus," saw Rick and Michonne get together, and Negan's looming arrival coming to fruition, The Walking Dead's Spring closer is, without a doubt, going to be one to remember. Hopefully not one to roll up and cry for four months over...but I'm pretty sure that's likely going to be the case.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

This is what we've all been waiting for. FINALLY! We are now less than two weeks from the release of Batman v Superman and there are obviously a handful of reasons to be stoked. One, hello! This is Batman and Superman! In one movie. And I cannot stress how monumental that is. Furthermore, we get to meet an extensive list of new characters and see how the DC Extended Universe unfolds. Whether it's a home run or misses the mark of quality we've all anticipated it to meet thus far, this movie already has my money. Literally. I bought tickets immediately as they were released online.
