John Goodman is currently getting praise for his newest film "10 Cloverfield Lane" but news has come up that he has joined the cast of the Boston Marathon Bombing film otherwise known as "Patriots Day". One of the films producers is Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. It is also directed by Peter Berg who has previously worked on Lone Survivor and Battleship.
The film is produced by Lionsgate and CBS films are producing one of the many films that have to do with Boston Marathon Bombing and they have announced that John Goodman will be joining their film "Patriots Day".
The film will be telling the story of the Boston Bombing from the perspective of Boston Police commissioner Ed Davis. John Goodman has said that he will be playing Ed Davis as he follows and tracks the bombers. J.K. Simmons will be playing along side John Goodman as Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese from the Watertown Police Department. Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese in real life engaged in combat with the two bombers.
The film does not have a release date yet and it is to be seen if it will end up in the cinema's before the other Boston Bombing film's like Boston Strong and Stronger starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
