The brutal, gritty, and smoothly choreographed fight scenes in the first season of Daredevil were a joy to watch. For me, the continuous, one-shot corridor ass whooping Matt Murdock serves up was one of the best TV scenes of the year.

Early trailers have suggested the upcoming second season will maintain the same highly charged combat, and to send the excitement levels through the roof, it looks like Daredevil and Elektra will be teaming up together.

A Dangerous Relationship?

Elektra, who has a stormy relationship with Murdock, asks for his assistance in fighting the Yakuza, who are running riot through Hell's Kitchen. Check out the first minute of the clip below, and watch on to see an interview with the cast by AOL Build:

Can Things Get Even Better?

The teaser clips that have been released just keep getting better and better. The above scene maintains the dark tone that was prevalent in the first season, but it feels like the pressure has amped things up a couple of notches.

What with this potentially hazardous partnership (in the comics, Murdock and Elektra fall out due to the latter's unpredictable and unhinged behavior) AND the Punisher wrecking havoc, Murdock is going to have a lot on his vigilante plate.

Élodie Yung, playing Elektra, is a new addition to the cast. She'll be joined also by Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, in addition to Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Rosario Dawson, who are all reprising their roles.

I can think of at least two reasons why this season is going to be even better than the first...

'Daredevil' Season 2 is available to stream on Netflix from March 18th.

Will Elektra be good for Murdock? Or will she end up causing him problems?
