'Don't be scared, everyone will love you.'
Reese Witherspoon is mourning her cutest canine co-star, Legally Blonde's Bruiser a.k.a. Moonie, the tiny Chihuahua who sadly passed last week, aged 18.
Via Instagram, Witherspoon, 39, wrote:
With a sad heart, I have to let all the #LegallyBlonde fans know that Bruiser Woods (also known as Moonie) passed away yesterday. He was a sweet little Chihuahua who was very loved. I will never forget all the days we spent together ... I'm sure his tail is wagging in the sky. Sending love to his trainer, the wonderful @tailsticks #RIPBruiser
Sentiments that captioned a shot of Elle Woods's arrival at Harvard:
For a pooch as tiny as Bruiser, living to 18 years makes him a fully fledged pensioner in dog-years, so we can at least take solace in the fact he lived a very long, happy life.
His trainer, Sue Chip also posted a Legally Blonde tribute to the pint-sized star; a picture of him beside Witherspoon on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
On this day - a day of "throwbacks" I give you one of the greatest little dogs..."Moonie" of Legally Blonde fame. I'm sad to say that this morning in Los Angeles he left us. He was a whopping 18 years old. I remember the day I brought him home as a puppy.
Bruiser first appeared on the big screen beside Elle Woods in 2001, and then again in Legally Blonde: Red White & Blonde in 2003. You can remember him in all his miniature marvel in the trailer for the original Legally Blonde below:
