'The Killing Joke' is one of the most iconic Batman stories to date. It's our closest look into the Joker's possible past and origins, and it and shows him at his most horrific. Earlier in 2015, it was confirmed that the comic would get an animated movie release with The Joker being played by the definitive voice Mark Hamill, who recently gave us our first look at the animated film on Twitter:

The picture along with the quote directly from the comics give fans something to really rave and get excited about.

According to Comic Book Resources, both Hamill and Kevin Conroy (who people refer to as the definitive Batman due to his voice-work as the character.) have been confirmed for the movie.

Tara Strong will also return to voice the iconic Harley Quinn, and Ray Wise will be voicing Commissioner Gordon.

Batman: The Killing Joke will premiere at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and will release in stores in the summer of 2016.
