The trailer for [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) has been out for less than a week and it has already garnered over 36 million views on YouTube.
This is probably because most people were completely blown away by the Spider-Man reveal at the end of the trailer, but I think some were a little too blown away. I think some fans missed a few key points in the trailer that should be raising more questions because they were distracted. One of those questions, for example, is that there is a point in the trailer where Iron Man backhands Captain America and you see a certain someone in a yellowish glass case — but who the heck is that?
You might be thinking to yourself, "Well, that's obviously Bucky. Looks just like him." However, you can clearly see him in the background behind Iron Man. So again, who the heck is that?
One theory is that this scene takes place in the prison that you see rise out of the ocean at 0:51 in the trailer, and that it's one of the villains of the film. That means that the character in that tube could be the long-awaited character Baron Zemo, who has yet to be revealed in any of the film's advertising. Another theory is that it is an imprisoned Crossbones, after Captain America: Winter Soldier, and Iron Man is recruiting him to take out Captain America. That might be why we see Crossbones fighting Captain America in the parts of the trailer.
This is all, of course, only theory and speculation because we won't really find out the answer to this question until this coming May. But it's always fun to speculate.
