Although there's been some controversy around the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the DCEU, there's one fan that Affleck will always be able to count on: his son. In an interview about his take on the Batman character, the actor shared the adorable anecdote about his son, saying that not only does his son know he is Batman, he also thinks the FedEx guy is the Joker!
'He Knows That I Am Batman'
Ben Affleck told the New York Times that his 4-year-old son, who's already a die-hard Batman fan, gave him the motivation to take the part:
"He knows that I am Batman. It's a mixed blessing. He also thinks that for some reason — I don't know if it's the color combination or whatever — that the FedEx guy is the Joker."
Really, his son just sounds like an adorable kid:
"Whenever there's a FedEx delivery, he's like, 'Dad, the Joker's outside.' The burden's on me to go out there and give the guy an extra 20 bucks to pantomime a whole Adam West kung fu battle."
Let's just hope he films the scene if that battle ever happens.
Ant-Man's Son Was 'Not Impressed'
In the world of superhero dads, Affleck can count himself lucky: when Paul Rudd told his son he was going to be Ant-Man, he didn't get the same fanboy adoration. According to Rudd:
"When I told my own son that I was going to be in a superhero movie, he asked me what it was and I said I was going to be playing Ant-Man, and he was not impressed. What he actually said was, 'I can't wait to see how stupid that'll be.' Swear to God, that's what he said."
Not everyone is going to be impressed by their dad starring in a superhero blockbuster.
If your parent was going to play a superhero, which one do you wish they would be?
