Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck share a fierce on-screen rivalry as their alter egos, Superman and Batman. And if a recent interview is anything to go by, it appears healthy competition between the pair has seeped into their personal lives, too.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Cavill was in a boisterous mood, revealing a particularly embarrassing byproduct of Affleck's Batsuit. It turns out the caped vigilante, who is highly skilled in close combat, often struggles to navigate simple tasks due to a lack of peripheral vision.

"A Tricky Suit To Get Around In"

The thought of the Dark Knight falling flat on his face every five minutes certainly takes the edge off of his rugged veneer, and I can't help but feel Cavill may have, dare I suggest, been goading Affleck slightly with his comments. He said:

"Ben's got a good sense of humor. He really does. Especially when he's walking around in his big Batsuit and because he can't see anything peripherally. He falls over stuff all the time. It's not his fault. He's not clumsy or anything. It's just, unfortunately, a tricky suit to get around in."

Compared to previous Batman outfits worn by the likes of Michael Keaton and Christian Bale, Affleck's suit does allow him a little more flexibility, although judging from Cavill's comments, it's still not the most practical thing to wear.

Affleck's Physique Made Cavill "Work A Little Harder"

Cavill also revealed Affleck's buff physique also inspired him to return a "little bigger" than he was in Man of Steel. The 32-year-old was driven to put in extra effort in the weight lifting stakes. He added:

"When you see Ben on set and everything and he’s in good shape, it makes you want to go back to the gym that morning and work a little harder."

Although he may have felt he was lagging behind in the battle of the bulge, when asked who would win a fight in real life, Cavill appeared confident he'd come off victorious against 43-year-old Affleck. He added:

"If there were really a fight, I mean come on, let’s just think about that for a second... I’m not saying that out loud, I’m merely inferring it."

For now, though, us fans will have to be content with watching the duo fight it out in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is released on March 25th.
