(Warning - if you don't want to know any plot details whatsoever about forthcoming episodes of Supergirl, then what follows below can be considered to contain moderately substantial SPOILERS. Proceed with whatever level of caution that suggests is wise...)
Now, at this point, there really aren't all that many major superheroes who haven't appeared in one of DC's current superhero shows, with The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and (to a somewhat more villainous extent) Gotham all having thrown a whole lot of fan-pleasing cameos our way over the past few years.
From the sounds of it, though...
'Supergirl' Is Set To Introduce A Classic DC Superhero Who We Haven't Yet Seen
Or, rather, one who we've only so far seen subtly - and indirectly - teased in the Flarrowverse. That hero?
Why, it's only DC's very own Captain America-alike himself...
Yup, that's right - Jim "Guardian" Harper, DC's shield-slinging, order-upholding 1940s answer to Captain America is on his way to Supergirl, and from the sounds of it, he's set to be something of a recurring character.
The main reason to suspect that? Why, because he's being played by a recognizable face from television shows past, of course. Step forward Eddie McClintock, a fan-favorite from his time on Warehouse 13...
...who, though currently only scheduled to appear in a small role in next week's episode, looks likely to return as Jim Harper (and, perhaps, as Guardian) in future installments of the superhero show.
Which, seeing as we've been teased with the future of involvement of the very-much-Guardian-affiliated Project Cadmus since the very beginnings of the Flarrowverse, is about damn time...
What do you think?
Will we actually get to see McClintock as Guardian?
