Finland's first superhero movie, RENDEL, has just released its first official teaser trailer, and it looks amazing. Check it out below:
How Can This Be The First?
Before filming started in fall 2015, the movie received a remarkable boost in its production budget from Black Lion Pictures and Frozen Flame Pictures. As a result, basically the whole project was rebooted just in few months.
Thanks to the increased budget, we've have now been able to include things that weren't in the original plans. To be honest, almost everything has changed since pre-production. The only thing that remains untouched is the original story: RENDEL will still be the dark tale of a man blinded by vengeance.
This is also the reason why we’ve removed the previously released teaser material from the web; the old material simply does not represent the quality of the upcoming movie anymore. Things are going to look so much better, and that is the reason we're calling this ”the first” teaser trailer.
It has been over 17 years since director Jesse Haaja came up with the idea for RENDEL and we won't have to wait longer than the end of this year to finally see this extraordinary, one of a kind Finnish superhero on screen.
Judging by the movie’s Facebook page, which already has over 76,000 followers, the upcoming feature film is long awaited by the fans, too. Join us!
