No Assassin's Creed this year, no problem. Fox is launching a VR experience to coincide with the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie!

Despite there being no Assassin's Creed game releasing this year, fans of the cloak and dagger franchise need not be too disappointed. Fans will now be able to jump into Michael Fassbender’s sneaky shoes with Fox's new Assassin's Creed VR movie experience.

Fox is teaming up with Practical Magic to create this unique experience. Ubisoft already has several VR projects in the works. But in terms of Assassin’s Creed, the studio is busy at work putting together a stunning looking eagle flight simulator. They also have their teams working on a new horror adventure called Unforgettable.

Although they have clearly stated that this is not a game, the project is set to put the users directly into the upcoming movie. Whether this will be using movie footage or plot lines is still unclear. It has been noted that the project creators accompanied the film crew across all known filming locations, so it is likely that this experience will emulate the events of the movie.

What we know for sure from playing the games is that this is not likely to be a relaxing experience. I fully expect to be jumping off rooftops, running through crowded streets, and swinging off many an historical icon.

What do you hope to see in an 'Assassin's Creed' movie?
