This article is more so wishful thinking. But I couldn't help but notice Pokken Tournament's Company was under Bandai Namco who is also responsible for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. So now Bandai Namco has both Digimon and Pokemon under their belt. I can't be the only one who sees the potential here. Bandai Namco could very well have the power to finally make a Digimon vs Pokemon fighting game crossover.
Digimon Cyber Sleuth already proved to be a major success. Pokken Tournament already looks like a pretty robust fighting game in it's own right. Not to mention that Digimon also has had fighting games in the past. These two franchises have been going back and forth for more than a decade now and not once have they crossed paths officially.
Bandai Namco has both franchises under it's belt. I even tried to use twitter to contact the director of Pokken Tournament and Bandai Namco USA. I've wanted a fighting games since Digimon World 4. And I've made previous articles in the past. I wouldn't do this if I didn't have a drive to want this. I would go as far as making a petition to send to Bandai Namco. I've tried it in the past but didn't know who to contact. Now I do. But I feel I can't do this alone.
I encourage any one who comes across the this article to send it to Bandai Namco and to the director of Pokken Tournament. Maybe even us a hashtag like #WhenIsPokemonVsDigimon. A petition already worked for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth's western release so I'm not counting this option out in anyway.
Why do I want this is simple. I want to see two franchises I loved finally come face to face in a great fighting game. This is also easy money for Bandai. Pokemon already has a large fan base and Digimon fan base might be a bit smaller but I think they would also share in this proposal as much as Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. This video also shares my thoughts so please check it out.
