While everyone loves the release of more Game of Thrones on DVD, because who doesn't love the chance to re-watch all those horrific death scenes again when you actually know that they're coming. But in all seriousness, beyond merely giving us deleted scenes and some fun featurettes, the Blu-Ray release of season five also comes with a big reveal about something which... well we all kind of already knew, but will finally end a lot of conspiracy theories!
Check out the Blu-Ray release of Season 5 below!

Now don't get me wrong, there are plenty of deleted scenes that come with this release, including:

A Scene Showing Alliser Thorne Staring Down Tormund Giantsbane!

This scene was released by Entertainment Weekly a couple of weeks back, but it's still fun to watch Thorne getting taken down a peg by Tormund.

A Conversation Between Daario Naharis and Grey Worm!

Contrasting the last one, this scene shows a playful Daario Naharis returning to Meereen and offering Grey Worm, leader of the Unsullied, some rather unwelcome advice regarding his relationship with Missandei.

Aside from these deleted scenes, there are videos about the lore behind the world of the show, a history of the Targaryen family in the times before the show takes place, when they ruled Westeros, and a video where author of the Song of Ice and Fire books, George RR Martin, talks about the real history behind some of the events in the show with a panel of historians. But enough of those regular, boring features, lets talk about that death shall we?

Stannis Baratheon, last of his generation of the Baratheon family, was struck down in battle in the season five finale. He managed to prop himself up against this tree, only for his number one fan Brienne of Tarth to find him, and raise her sword to finish him off. Then the scene cut, and the rather ambiguous ending left many a fan wondering if she had a last minute change of heart and decided against killing the man she had sought for several seasons.

Well, the short answer is yes, she killed him. No changes of heart, no surprise return for Stannis in season six. You can watch a video where the VFX people working on the show discuss making the battle scenes and Stannis' death scene here, and they without a doubt say he is dead, dead, dead.

And you can see the trailer for the sixth, Stannis-less, season of the show below!

Will You Miss Stannis?
