As a fan and long time player of the legendary Tomb Raider video games since 1996, I have followed the evolution of our beloved Lara Croft over the years. Even taking down a T-Rex, tigers and other foes, Lara has seen it all. However, the most pleasing thing about being a modern day Lara Croft fan has been seeing her evolve to be this far more life-like woman seeking the truth with a more complicated back story.

Granted, the recent installments are prequels, but I think Crystal Dynamics and Square-Enix did an amazing job reshaping Lara to this gritty, realistic and flawed character which anyone can relate to. As you will know if you play the game, this is now what the famous heroine looks like:

Recently, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding a potential Tomb Raider reboot. Whilst Angelina Jolie was originally cast in the first movies to star Lara Croft, the character has developed into something else since then and I think we can all agree that recasting the character is a find choice. Much to the excitement of Star Wars fans, the name most commonly rumored to be playing Lara Croft in the upcoming movie is none other than Daisy Ridley, best known as Rey from Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

As a graphic designer myself, when I heard there were talks about making a Tomb Raider film reboot eying Daisy Ridley to play the lead, I jumped at the opportunity to create a poster showcasing Ridley as the Lara we know today, which the name of the movie would simply be 'LARA'.

Daisy Ridley as Lara Croft:

I hope you guys enjoy my artwork, I had a lot of fun making it. Let me know whether you like the poster, the casting choice of Daisy as our new Lara Croft or whether you would prefer somebody else to play the part!
