Following a couple of years worth of rumors about what could come next for the franchise, now its official Indiana Jones 5 is coming in 2019.

Disney and Lucasfilm has confirmed that Steven Speilberg will return to direct the fifth entry in the franchise and will star Harrison ford. The film is set to reach theatres on July 19, 2019.

Here is the official statement from studio:

Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.

Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will also return for their role as producers of the franchise. The last time Indy was on big screen was in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull.

The four previous Jones films — including 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” and 1989’s “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” have brought in nearly $2 billion in box office worldwide.
