Every '90s kids remembers coming home from a long day at school, popping open a refreshing Teeny and hunkering down to watch Tommy Pickles and his band of babies take on the world. And when The Rugrats Movie came out? That orange VHS tape instantly made its way to the top of the stack, and to the bottom of our hearts.
But in all the hundreds of viewings and rewindings, did you ever notice that behind the voice of the beloved dinosaur Reptar lurked a famous rapper?
It's Busta Rhymes!
Gina Vaynshteyn, the super-sleuth from Hello Giggles, just uncovered that the voice of the dinosaur superstar is actually the American rapper. That's Busta saying: I AM REPTAR! HEAR ME ROAR! And that's Mr. Rhymes singing the rest of the song from The Rugrats Movie.
Reptar was basically a giant reptile celebrity in the Rugrats universe, who went on to play a giant robot version of himself in the next film, Rugrats In Paris.
Did you know Reptar was Busta Rhymes all along?
