NBC is gearing up for the premiere of the new series Taken, and they've just cast their leading lady: Jennifer Beals.

The Flashdance star will play Christina Hart, the Special Deputy Director of National Intelligence who acts as a mentor to Bryan Mills (Clive Standen). Deadline describes her character:

Cultured and powerful with a wealth of field experience, [Hart's] current government position has her overseeing an elite team of operatives who take care of America’s national security emergencies.

Sounds pretty legit. As of right now, there's no official release date for the series, although Alex Graves will be directing.
