Channing Tatum used to be a stripper. Amber Rose used to be a stripper. But they are treated differently.
Model, designer, and actress Rose has lashed out at Hollywood for the nasty way she feels she's been treated as a result of her womanhood. She said in a recent interview with HuffPo:
"Look at Channing Tatum. He was a stripper just like me. No one says shit. No one cares because he's a man. [Tatum] embraced the fact that he was a stripper and made a movie and kind of made fun of himself, but if I make fun of myself and I call myself a slut... I get ridiculed for that."
When Tatum was a baby-faced 19-year-old he threw some naked shapes for between $50 and $150 per night. Rose performed stripteases as "Paris" when she was just 15 to provide for her struggling family.
Rose outs hypocrites by stating that everyone calls provocatively sexy women "a slut and a hoe and a tramp or a whore" — but not men who act in the same way. The 34-year-old continued to describe how much she actually enjoyed the stripping lifestyle:
"It was the best time of my life -- I was young, and beautiful making a hundred thousand dollars in cash a year. How fucking fun was that? I had a bunch of friends, it was a party every night."
