We're midway through Season 2 of Breaking Bad's spin-off series Better Call Saul and AMC has confirmed, according to Deadline, that the show will be returning for a third 10-episode season.
Presumably hitting our screens next year, creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are returning as exec producers/co-showrunners.
Better Call Saul smashed a cable rating record with its premiere series and has continued to perform to an exceptional standard ever since.
As Deadline reports, AMC president Charlie Collier said:
“What Vince, Peter, Bob and the entire team have accomplished with Better Call Saul is truly rare and remarkable. They have taken one of the most iconic, immersive and fan-obsessive (in the best possible way) shows in television history and created a prequel that stands on its own.”
Set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White, he goes by the name Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), a hustling lawyer trying to make a name for himself. Working with private eye and former cop Mike Ehrmantraut, Jimmy becomes the go-to "fixer" for sticky situations.
