This week on Agents of SHIELD we start out with a flashback of Ward's death on Maveth. We then see "The Hive" crawling into Ward's body. As he does this we see a flashback of all Ward's memories of his childhood and when he was at S.H.I.E.L.D.
We then cut to the present day where Ward and Malick are having a conversation about the old Ward, when Malick brings in Four Eyes for Ward to "get through to".
Unfortunately for this stupid man, he tried to use his powers to take Ward out, but Ward is susceptible to them. In return, Ward shows this inhuman what HE can do and it ain't pretty. Check it:
We now see Coulson following General Talbot at the airport, where the two are striking a deal. But who's watching them you ask??
Carl " THE CRUSHER" Creel
Now the team is at HQ getting ready for a mission where Hunter is voicing his concerns about this secret conference they're attending to Fitz, who reassured him they'll be fine. C'mon they got Daisy and Lincoln!!
Oh yeah, good ol'e "Shake and Bake" - Hunter
FROM NOW ON WE SHALL ONLY ADDRESS THESE TWO AS "SHAKE AND BAKE"
Daisy and Bobbi are also preparing for this mission. Bobbi ask's Daisy what she knows about this conference, Daisy know's it's small, a secret, and just a few countries. The conference is about getting a handle on this "Alien Symposium Contagion".
Daisy is trying to tell Bobbi that Inhumans are not a disease, they're an awakening and that terrigenisis made her who she was meant to be. Unfortunately, Bobbi knows that some Inhumans don't use their powers for helping others and need to be stopped.
Lincoln and May are undercover watching Coulson at the airport.
Coulson and Talbot are planning on sneaking into this conference to get all the intel they can, but they suspect Malick will have a spy there trying to influence the delegates, while getting information on Inhumans.
Meanwhile Lincoln spots Creel approaching Coulson and Talbot and gets the green light from May to go take him down.
And it totally was a horrible decision, cause Carl isn't afraid of Darth Sidious over here.
Creel then proceeds to Smash Lincoln into a wall, flipping him like a pancake.
Lincoln then gets up to "finish this" with Creel, only to have his thunder stolen by May who comes in a smashes the back of Creel's head!! Lincoln then proceeds to try to bake creel with his powers, until Coulson steps in and stops him.
General Talbot (who's been locked in the car this whole time) let's Coulson know that Creel, is actually his bodyguard.
S.H.I.E.L.D. now has custody of Creel and Fitzsimmons are trying to ask him a few questions about his terrigensisis transformation, only to find out that his powers were given to him in an experiment gone wrong. They can't really get any answers out of Creel, but Fitzsimmons still have a sample of his DNA so, they're going to reopen the creel case.
Coulson, Talbot, May, Hunter, Daisy, and Bobbi are having a meeting about who is going in on this conference mission. The S.H.I.E.L.D team doesn't want Creel to come along, but Talbot refuses to go without him. To which Daisy basically replies:
BUUUUUTTTT Coulson feels that they do need Talbot with them. If the acting head of the ATCU doesn't show it kinda sends a bad message.
So, Creel is goin' with them!!
Back to Ward.
Malick worries that Ward's old body isn't getting any better and wonders if maybe maybe a new host would serve them better??? Ward doesn't like that idea.
Malick start's offering up other Inhumans for Ward to take (WITHOUT AKING THEM BTW).
But Ward explains to Malick that he can't inhabit other Inhumans. They can't feed on their own kind.
Ward reallllyyyyy wants Malick to shut it about finding him a new host, so he closes the conversation by telling him " Grant Ward will serve his needs till they're ready"
Coulson and Talbot are inside this conference, Coulson is undercover but Talbot is attending as himself. So we all sit down everything is going great and then all of sudden, Talbot turns on Coulson and starts framing him as a spy. Security comes and handcuffs Coulson.
Meanwhile, Simmons' has found something interesting from Creel's DNA. When they add a sample of terrigenisis to his blood, it not only stops the process, it breaks it down. A vaccine against terrigenisis that could put an end to Inhumans.
Well Daisy walks in and hears this and she doesn't look too happy!! She knows if the government gets their hands on this vaccine, Inhumans will have no choice and will be wiped from existence. Lincoln believes that not everyone who can change, should change. He believes they need a balance because too many Inhumans are popping up that they can't control. Lincoln believes this vaccine might not be a bad thing. Daisy is going crazy she hates this whole idea and eventually just storms out of the room.
Back to the conference.
As if this could get any worse, now Malick walks in to the party and starts bad-mouthing Coulson as well, claiming that he was the one who caused all the deaths from the obelisk last season, and also invented the ATCU'S gel matrix pods and is keeping Inhumans against their will.
And now a brief ode to Malick below!
Malick then demands Coulson be locked up.
Now during all this, Ward has managed to wrangle together 5 regular humans who are now standing in a ring-around the rosy circle. He then begins to spray everyone with his sandy mess.
While Coulson is preparing to be locked up, Malick and Talbot walk in. What we don't know yet is Malick took Talbot's son prisoner until Talbot delivered him Coulson. Talbot claims he kept up his end of the bargain, and now he wants his son back. BUT you forgot who you were working with Talbot!! Malick SHOCKINGLY tells Talbot that he can't do that, and that his son must be sacrificed for the greater good. Malick orders that both Talbot and Coulson be killed and walks out.
Coulson and Talbot are now stalling for time until Talbot's "inside man" can get there, who happens to be Creel. He takes down the guards and breaks them free.
They've escaped but Hydra still has Talbot's son.
We now see the aftermath of Ward's so-called project, which is 5 human carcasses that looked like they were thrown into an Easy Bake oven for half their lives.
We then see Ward emerging from this pile of goo (ew), and now his body is as good as new! So apparently he needs sacrifices to heal. That's messed up.
The stinger shows Malick on a plane with one of the representatives from the conference talking shop about Inhumans, while Malick flies him home. We see though, that Bobbi and Hunter have stowed away on Malick's plane to try to get a lead on his operations.
