This week the incredible staff over at Moviepilot hooked me up with the Kingsman The Secret Service blu-ray, so now I am here to share with all of you the incredible special features that comes with this already awesome film. Now let's get started!

Now for those of you have not seen this movie yet, here's a quick rundown of what the film is. Kingsman The Secret Service is a 2014 film based on the comics from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons and is directed by Mathew Vaughn (Kick-Ass/X-Men: First Class). It stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, and many others. The film is about a super secret organization that recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program among other kids to transform them into spy's. So basically it's an ultra-violent, comedic, hard R, James Bond styled film with an extraordinary cast and stylistically brilliant director.

Blu-Ray Extras

The blu-ray copy comes with an awesome collection of special features and a free HD digital download. For me personally, the special features are what makes it worth the purchase with 3 image galleries of behind the scenes, sets, and props plus a 90 minute behind the scenes look at the making of the film titled, The Secret Service Revealed which is broken down into 6 parts:

  • Panel to Screen: The Education of a 21st Century Super Spy
  • Heroes and Rogues
  • Style All His Own
  • Tools of the Trade
  • Breathtakingly Brutal
  • Culture Clash: The Comic Book Origins of the Secret Service

These 6 featurettes include interviews with the cast, director, producers, and the man himself, Mark Millar and discusses how they took Millar and Gibbon's incredible series and adapted it to fit on the big screen.

So, if you're a fan of Mathew Vaughn's corky, ultra-violent action (like me) then this film is definitely for you and I highly recommend picking up the blu-ray today!

Will you be picking up Kingsman The Secret Service on DVD or blu-ray if you haven't already?
