The Wrap is reporting that Warner Bros. are moving forward with the 'Lobo' film, one that has been in development for many years now.

They've hired 'Wonder Woman' writer Jason Fuchs to pen the script for the film about an intergalactic mercenary and bounty hunter.

Insiders tell them the writer/actor will start from scratch with his own take on 'Lobo'. Brad Peyton (San Andreas) signed on to direct the film in 2012 with Akiva Goldsman and Joel Silver producing.

Given the nature of Lobo's character, could this be Warner Bros.' response to 'Deadpool'?

The Lobo film is finally moving forward, are you excited?
