The long-awaited reboot of The Crow has been beset with difficulties. Two prospective leading men — Luke Evans and Jack Huston — quit the project, and now an even bigger problem may have shut down production entirely.

Bloody Disgusting reports that the producers of the 1994 original Crow, the Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation, have submitted papers to forbid any rights to sequels, reboots, or any other kind of Crow spin-off movie.

Don't expect more of Draven anytime soon...

The move is apparently a response to Relativity Media removing director Corin Hardy from the Crow reboot, something Pressman says they were not consulted on, which therefore constitutes a breach of contract. Pressman stated:

''[Hardy] is known for his visual flair, having a penchant for horror and dark subject matter. The parties believed that Mr. Hardy was particularly suited to re-invigorate 'The Crow', which is based on a dark tale of revenge told originally in graphic novel form.”

This seems like the final nail in the coffin for 'The Crow' — are you disappointed or relieved?
