Have you ever had a crush on a TV star? Tom Hanks certainly has, as his television set was where he first cast an approving eye on his future wife Rita Wilson.
According to People, the 59-year-old actor told reporters at the premiere of the Hanks-Wilson co-production My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 that she first snagged his attention when she guest starred in a Brady Bunch episode.
Wilson acted as a girl called Pat Conway, a competitor in a cheerleading contest.
In 1972, when the episode aired, both would have been in the midst of adolescence at the age of just 15. In the People interview, Hanks reminisced:
"I was actually at a friend of mine's house when it aired and I remember thinking 'that girl's cute.'"
He wasn't a famous movie star at this time, so he couldn't exactly ring her up and ask her out.
The couple didn't lock eyes until years later in 1981 on the set of ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies. They have now been married for 28 years.
