Late last year, it was announced that Abigail Breslin had signed on to star in a TV movie adaptation of the 1987 classic Dirty Dancing. Although extensive details are yet to be released, confirmed news on the block is that the actress will be showing off her fantastic footwork in Jennifer Grey's iconic role as Baby.
Yet, it seems that it was only yesterday that we saw the talented actress star in her breakthrough role as Olive Hoover in the comedy drama Little Miss Sunshine. If you need a reminder of the performance that placed her firmly on the Hollywood map, relive her painfully awkward number at that terrible, and quite frankly haunting, beauty pageant:
Back when her first proper feature film was released in 2006, little Abigail was only 9 years old and the role catapulted her to superstardom. Ever since, she's gone from strength to strength.
These days, she's 19 years old and looks like a shadow of her former self — your jaw will drop when you see just how much she's changed:
Whoa, Abigail is that you?
Yep, time has been exceptionally kind to the actress. You've really got to admit, what with looking like an absolute babe and already having a colossal amount of projects under her belt (My Sister's Keeper, Zombieland, The Call, August: Osage County and Scream Queens, amongst many!), it must be a pretty good time to be Abigail Breslin right now.
We can't wait to see her have the time of her life in the Dirty Dancing adaptation.
