The second trailer for Bryan Singer's highly anticipated follow up to the major success that was Days Of Future Past; X-Men: Apocalypse has landed online and shows our favorite team of mutants go head to head with the biggest threat the X-Men have ever faced...Apocalypse. Check out the latest trailer:

Charles Xavier's school for gifted youngsters is up and running again, filled with mutants of rare and unique abilities. Joining his ranks are Scott Summers/Cyclops, Jean Grey, Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler and a speedster in the form of Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver.

Rose Byrne's Moira MacTaggert informs Xavier of an impending doom in the form of En Sabah Nur, the world's first mutant. He's an ancient being of extraordinary power who enlists Magneto, Archangel, Psylocke and Storm into his ranks. He believes in survival of the fittest, that only the strong should survive and he intends to cleanse the Earth of the weak.

Many fans criticized Apocalypse's look at first and whilst the costume isn't as perfect as many of us would like, it looks like a good comic to film adaptation of the character's look. Some work in post has altered Oscar Isaac's voice and the visual effects artists have made his eyes flush white when his powers are in use, giving him a more comic accurate appearance.

I think this is a great second trailer, it's certainly leagues above the first trailer which left many fans disappointed. I have incredible faith in Bryan Singer to deliver on his fourth X-Men film.
