Ever since Netflix's exclusive TV show 'Daredevil' became a massive hit amongst Marvel fans and your average TV goers, fans have always wondered if this green-lit a chance for Daredevil to team up with the likes of Iron Man and Thor. Well Main star of the show Charlie Cox (who plays the hero) thinks Daredevil is perfect for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Being just two days away from the season two premiere of Daredevil, Charlie Cox has said in an interview with Comicbook.com that -
"Some people have [wondered] based on the tone the show, how Matt would fit in with the Avengers. I was reading Civil War the other day, and Matt Murdock… is kind of an ass. He’s in the back, standing around grumpy a lot of the time, and every now and again, he just says ‘Well, we’re not doing that’ or something to that effect, and I’m like, ‘That’s the character, we’re fine.’ So tonally, with Matt I think we’re right on point and he’d be a perfect fit in the larger MCU."
So with Cox thinking that his Daredevil is perfect for the larger MCU, what could the future have in place for us? There's been no confirmation for a cameo in Captain America: Civil War that's due in cinemas in just a couple months on May 6th, but he's most likely to turn up in Infinity War as it is described to be 'culmination of everything the MCU'.
Even if we don't get a team up with the Avengers, we will still get The Defenders which is another rag tag group of heroes consisting of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The premiere date of the 'Luke Cage' Netflix exclusive is also planning to be aired in September this year.
Charlie Cox also adds comment onto his character and about he well he works in a team, this could be linked to him making an appearance on the Avengers line-up;
"One of the lessons that he’s going to have to learn this season is that he needs other people, he needs help, we all need help. And hopefully, that will therefore mentally prepare him for what’s coming, which is - and I don’t know what the dynamic of the Defenders will be - but if that is going to be a team-up, then he’s going to have to learn those lessons in Season 2. Hopefully."
Starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Élodie Yung, Stephen Rider, Jon Bernthal, and Rosario Dawson, Daredevil season two will officially be aired on March 18th exclusively on Netflix.
