You probably know and love Osric Chau from his work on Supernatural - but did you know he's also given his talents to the wonderful world of cosplay? At the recent VegasCon 2016, a Las Vegas convention celebrating all things Supernatural, Chau unveiled this fantastic work of cosplay love for another beloved icon, Marvel's Captain America. Images courtesy of Stardust and Melancholy Photography, and we are all grateful for their existence... because just look at them.
I did not know Chau was such a dedicated cosplayer, and now I'm sincerely glad I do, because he's done a lot more quality cosplay work - and I might have to actually feature some more in the future. There's just something about this that makes me happy - cosplay is an act of expression and art, and love for stories, worlds and characters that so many of us can relate to. It's universal, and seeing more well-known people engage in a creative activity that fans are so passionate about is just a positive thing no matter how you look at it.
That, and I mean... these are just really, really good.
Maybe celebrating the upcoming silver-screen incarnation of Civil War? (But at this point, if you told me he was starring in his own Cap film, I'd believe you.)
We can thank Stardust and Melancholy Photography for bringing us this amazing shoot, and you can check them out on Twitter, and feast your eyes on a lot more wonderful works at their official website.
And lastly, my usual disclaimer - as always, thank you so much for reading, and please keep all commentary respectful. Remember that even though this one is a celebrity, unlike my usual indie features - the artist is still a human like you, who in this case did it on his own time, for the love of the art and the character. Rock on, and see you again real soon!
