Following our fellow Creators with the predictions for this movie, here are mine. The team wants to hear our thoughts on these topics:
- Who do you think is most likely to die?
- What do you think will be the big twist?
- How does Robin figure into all this? Will we see more than one?
- Whose cameo will be the most memorable?
- Why do you think Wonder Woman got involved?
Who do I think is most likely to die?
I don't think any of us expected Jonathan Kent to die in Man of Steel. I didn't anyway. I highly doubt that we'll see any heroes or villains or major characters die in the film that is supposed kick off the DC Cinematic Universe and compete with Marvel. In the trailer see seems to be mother of the year though. She tells Clark that he doesn't owe Earth a thing and he should do what he wants to do and not be forced.
I'm hesitant to choose her, but with other characters needing to be in another film or two, she's the only option. I highly doubt they're going to kill off Louis Lane this early. I mean, unless they wanted to give us Injustice hella early. Honestly, I don't think there will be a major death. Besides us seeing Bruce's parents die and Robin. I'll get to that in a few.
What do I think the big twist will be?
I don't think Zod is going to be our final Doomsday. I think they chose "Doomsday" simply because who else is powerful enough to require Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. I think the twist will show our Trinity fighting Doomsday and an end credit scene (assuming Warner Bros. will adopt these) will have Lex Luthor say "Test complete. Mercy, what can we do to make him more powerful?" Not only will this bring us the Doomsday we all know and love, it will also show us how devious Jessie Eisenburg can be as Lex Luthor.
I think around Justice League 2 we could see the true all powerful Doomsday and he just wrecks the Justice League. Actually make him a challenge and a menace though. I don't know if it's just me but compared to comics, and even the cartoons, Ultron was too easy. They beat dat ass in Avengers: Age of Ultron. That's just how I felt though. Unless Ultron comes back in like Phase IV of the MCU.
How does Robin figure into all of this and will we see more than one?
When this trailer first dropped I, like everyone figured this was Jason Todd - more known as Red Hood. It's obvious right? It's gotta be Red Hood. It very well could be, I'm not saying it's not. I am, however, saying there is another possibility. Let's remember that the Joker got to two Robins, not just one.
That possibility is: Tim Drake. Remember Batman's age in this film. Dick Grayson is already Nightwing, everyone wants to see Batgirl, but she is probably Oracle at this time. Then again, they could alter her age to please fans.
But getting back to Tim Drake. This costume looks more like his instead of Jason Todd's. I'm not saying we're going to get a Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker Easter Egg or anything but...
Whose cameo do I think will be the most memorable?
Not a lot of people are pleased with Ezra Miller playing Wally West in this film. Especially when Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen so well. I personally want Miller to do well for this character. If I were Miller, I'd certainly hope my character had the best cameo in this film because unlike everyone else, I'm going to be compared to someone who is ruling the TV. I expect his the most memorable, but I honestly think Green Lantern and Aquaman are good runners up.
I feel like Wonder Woman will be watching from the shadows, doing her best not to get involved. It does make me wonder if we'll see Themyscira in the film. I also think they'll explore the Batman and Wonder Woman romance in this as well. I definitely think she'll be the one to unite Batman and Superman though.
