Ten years after husband and wife team Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum first met on the set of 2006 dance movie Step Up, the pair are shimmying forward to bring more groove filled entertainment our — this time, in the shape of a dance competition TV show.
You can probably expect all the banter, flirts and abs galore, just like the good old days:
Variety reports that NBC has just greenlit a six-episode order for the currently untitled show which will feature Jenna in a judge/mentor position. Channing Tatum's role is yet undefined — though if his Magic Mike XXL performances are anything to go by, he'll make a fantastic thonged mascot — although I suppose just topless would be acceptable too.
The show is the first project coupling NBC with Dewan Tatum's production company, Purple Cup Productions. Tatum's Free Association banner is behind the series and the married couple will act as exec producers alongside Peter Kiernan and Reid Carolin.
More details to follow.
