While us Gilmore Girls fans are still devastated by the news that Melissa McCarthy isn't involved in the Netflix revival of the series, there might be another way for us to get our Sookie St. James fix!
Gilmore Girls superfan, Kristi Carlson, recently launched a Kickstarter for her new recipe book titled 'Eat Like A Gilmore!' The book, which is still a work in progress, will feature at least 60 recipes inspired by the show, and will be split into three food settings: small-town diner, fancy Friday Night Dinners, and low-key, independent inns.
"The foods look so delicious, comforting, perfect for the season, I want to experience that magic," Carlson said in a video on her Kickstarter page about her hopes for the book.
A $30 donation to the Kickstarter earns investors a hard copy of the recipe book, with gift levels for investors going as high as $1000 which will earn donors a dinner with five friends (sadly only available for residents of Southern California).
At the time of writing the Kickstarter, which seeks to raise $20,000, is sitting at $19,778 with 24 days to go, so if you're desperate to see a recipe for a s'mores wedding cake or sausage wrapped in a pancake, tied with a piece of bacon (let's face it, who isn't) head over here and help 'Eat Like A Gilmore' become a reality.
Would you buy the Gilmore Girls cookbook?
