Pokémon continue to celebrate their 20th anniversary this week with the unveiling of this word record-breaking Pokémon trading card. The mosaic is made up of 12987 normal sized Pokémon trading cards. The finished article features the company’s most iconic character, Pikachu.

The monstrous card stands 10 meters tall and is 7 meters wide. Overall, it measures 71.54 square meters.

This record-breaking monster was created by British artist Quentin Devine and has been put on display in Paris.

"We are incredibly excited to have secured this highly ambitious world record, and are thrilled to have worked with renowned artist Quentin Devine to bring the mosaic to life," - marketing director, Anthony Cornish

The company have certainly been making the most of their year so far. They have celebrated a lot already this year, it seems that we can’t go anywhere righ now without seeing Pikachu’s face. With it being so early on into the year, I cannot wait to see what comes next from this brilliant franchise.

We have been promised a year of wonders and it certainly seems that we will not be dissapointed.
