After a long hiatus, The Flash finally returned last night and I was not disappointed. The 16th episode of Season 2, "Trajectory", introduced the anticipated reveal of Velocity 9, which is something I have been personally waiting for all season. We get to see a female speedster when one of Caitlin's colleagues injects herself with the Velocity 9. Team Flash also finds out about Jay Garrick taking the identity of Zoom all along. All of them are very surprised but the best reaction of all is and will be Barry's.

When we were first introduced to Jay Garrick, Barry was very skeptical about trusting him because he trusted Harrison Wells who ended up being Eobard Thawne or the Reverse Flash. It took him a long time to trust Jay and he finally did. Now, he's finding out that Jay is also his nemesis, Zoom. This is going to have a huge effect on Barry's character for the rest of the season. As it does seem similar to Season 1, that reason alone is why I don't think Zoom is their version of Jay Garrick. Anyways, Barry was very motivated to find Zoom and now, he will do everything in his power to train and get back to Earth-2 to defeat Zoom forever. How far will he go? We get a sense of how far he will go in the trailer and description for next week's episode of The Flash, named "Flash Back."

Description:

A MOMENT IN TIME GETS BARRY ONE STEP CLOSER TO ZOOM; ANDY MIENTUS RETURNS AS HARTLEY RATHAWAY – After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), Barry (Grant Gustin) is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), to teach him how to run faster. However, things don’t go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andy Mientus), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (guest star Rick Cosnett). Iris (Candice Patton) makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future.

Trailer:

Barry is so desperate and determined to defeat Zoom that he goes back in time to some point in Season 1 to find Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne). Why would he want to do that? He does it because he taught Barry how to be faster as that was a part of his master plan. Barry wants Wells/Thawne to teach him how to run faster. However, Wells is not stupid and will quickly figure out that Barry is from the future.

It seems to be that Team Flash is focusing on fighting Pied Piper, which was episode 12 last season. He was one of the best villains of the season so it's nice to see him pop back up. Also, we get to see Eddie Thawne once again in the past. That is the general time period Barry is travelling to, about halfway through season 1.

Anyways, Harrison Wells will quickly figure out that Barry is from the future. We will definitely see Harrison Wells figure out some mischievous plan. The weirdest part of the trailer are the death-eater type creatures. That is why Pied Piper screams "Holy Harry Potter!" which is ironic since he is sort of like a wizard and looks similar to Harry Potter. The creatures hunting down Barry are because he went back in time to Season 1 and messed with the timeline. It is weird because these 'death-eaters' haven't even been referenced on the show even though the show has explored its fair share of time travel.
