Whether you've been a die-hard fan since his Kara's Flowers days, or just hopped on the band wagon when he became People's Sexiest Man Alive, it's hard not to love Adam Levine. Let's take a look back in time at the moments that made him so spectacular.

1995 - 1999: Kara's Flowers

Every burgeoning young rock star has a less-than-success story, and Adam Levine found his with Kara's Flowers. In 1997, at the tender age of 18, his first band put out one album called The Fourth World. The sound was a little bit more early Blink 182 than Maroon 5, but it's still not bad. And every now and then you can catch the drift of the future singing superstar in there somewhere.

Kara's Flowers disbanded, and then got back together in 2002, adding James Valentine on guitar and changing their name to Maroon 5. At the same time, Levine was working as a writer on Judging Amy and fretting over his break up with a girl named Jane.

All that angst turned into Songs About Jane, which slowly but surely climbed charts to be the 10th best-selling album of 2004.

2007: It Won't Be Soon Before Long

With one Grammy already under their belts, Maroon 5 went on to secure another with "Makes Me Wonder" in 2007. Now we see an even cooler, more confidant Levine leading his boys to the top of the charts.

2011: It Gets Better Project

Levine is gorgeous, inside and out. An outspoken supporter of LGBT rights, he posted this video as part of the It Gets Better Project, extending his support to young LGBT people that might be struggling or feeling alienated by their peers.

This guy can do more than just sing. In 2012, Levine tried his hand at acting in American Horror Story: Asylum, and the result was — unsurprisingly — fantastic. Here he is in the opening scene of the season, opposite Jenna Dewey-Tatum.

2013: People's Sexiest Man Alive

It was only a matter of time, really. Levine succeeded Channing Tatum as People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2013, and the good people at People gave the world this *ehm* spread:

2015: Still Going Strong

Here he is looking slightly less exposed but just as buff in the May 2015 issue of Mens Fitness:

Levine is currently one of the coaches on The Voice, and here's an adorable clip of him singing 'Tiny Dancer' as part of a blind audition for his fellow judges.
