Yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for Paul. Filming might have already wrapped on Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, but apparently there's one more scene left to be filmed. And it stars Paul McCartney.
According to a recent report by Deadline, co-directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, came together to film one last scene for the fifth installment in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
There's no word on what kind of role the Beatle will be playing, but it supposedly involves a set piece of epic proportions. Since filming was already completed, it'll likely be an extra scene added to the movie instead of a reshoot of an existing one.
Dead Men Tell No Tales brings back popular Pirates Of The Caribbean characters played by Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom. It also features newcomers to the franchise including Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario. The official synopsis is as follows:
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea, including him. Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
Of course, McCartney isn't the first rock-star cameo in the Pirates series. In Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards played the role of Jack Sparrow's father. I wonder if the Beatle will be playing another parental pirate.
'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' will hit the high seas on May 26, 2017.
