Mike's Horror Den

31 has finally been given a theatrical release date of September 16, 2016. I do hope this is not just a limited theatrical release, due to it being an independent film. 31 is set on Halloween night. A group of carnival workers are kidnapped and forced to participate in a gruesome game called 31. The group must survive twelve hours, while being hunted by a group of clowns. I am very excited to see this film. Rob Zombie's film have been incredible, a couple were questionable (Halloween 2 and Lords of Salem), but he has always stuck to his vision and never worried what people might say.

Here are some of my favorite Rob Zombie films

Zombie gave us an interesting look into the origin of Michael Myers. He did an amazing choice by casting Tyler Mane as Myers. Mane gave the character such a menacing look! Sheri Moon Zombie and Scout Taylor-Compton did a great job as Michael's mother and younger sister. H2 went in a completely different direction, but that's a conversation for another article.

The Devil's Rejects

This film continues the horrific antics of the remaining Firefly family. Bill Moseley as Otis is so horrifying. He has these incredible comedic scenes but when things go dark, he is terrifying. The ending is one of the best ending sequences I have ever seen.

House of 1000 Corpses

This is my favorite of Zombie's films so far. I saw this film opening night and it was so much fun. To start we were carded four times at the theater, when we bought the tickets, waiting in line outside the theater, entering the theater, and while sitting in our seats. My friends and I started wondering "What the hell are we about to see?". All the characters were so intense!
