Out of 9 films in the X-Men franchise, the aspect that has been the most controversial has been the inaccurate representations of the heroes' costumes. Apparently, Bryan Singer has been listening as this new picture (Courtesy of Empire Magazine) from the upcoming film 'X-Men: Apocalypse' show us the X-Men in outfits that resemble their comic book counterparts. Check it out:

The most surprising ones are Nightcrawler, Cyclops and Jean Grey, with the last two sporting blue-and-yellow outfits, a color pattern that was almost prohibited in past X-Men films. What's worth noting however is that these versions most resemble their 90's appearance; this is curious because we know the film will take place in 1983 but if the past two X-Men films have taught us anything, is that they like to jump in time 10 years. What goes after the 1980's? The 90's!
