With Batman and Wonder Woman making their debut on screen together, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice sparks the beginning of the formation for the highly anticipated DC movie Justice League: Part One. The film is set to be released on November 17, 2017, and as we're already well aware who's cast for the roles of Cyborg, Aquaman, and the Flash, it's still unknown who Warner Bros.'s choice is for Green Lantern. Fans have been throwing out all of their choices for the role on social media, and one of the names to pop up was Tyrese Gibson.

He's Definitely An Option Now!

It first started with fan art showing Gibson dressed in green It later turned into an actual rumor after he took one of the fan art pieces and posted it on his Instagram page with the caption:

Rumor has it that.

In an interview with Larry King on Larry King Now, Tyrese described how it all went down:

"I was like, ‘Whoa, that looks cool.’ And I posted it on my Instagram, and it just went crazy — over 1,500 sites. And it was just all of this buzz, and I was like I might as well run with this thing. And I did. Pissed the people off, a little bit, at Warner Bros. because they thought that I had convinced the world that I had landed the role, which I didn’t. And I said, ‘If you go down my timeline, at no point did I say the role is mine.’ But, you know, there have been other artists, actors and actresses who have put up images of them as a comic book character and ended up landing a role. So I was like, it’s worth giving it a shot."

Who doesn't want to have a shot at playing the role of an iconic superhero? After the big fan buzz, Warner Bros. may have actually taken the thought into consideration. After telling Larry King that he hasn't received a call from Zack Snyder just yet, Tyrese did reveal that Warner Bros. was the one that reached out to him.

Tyrese: You know, there have been other artists, actors and actresses who have put up images of them as a comic book character and ended up landing a role. So I was like, it's worth giving it a shot.

Larry: So, have you heard from Zack Snyder?

Tyrese: No.

Larry: Maybe he's watching.

Tyrese: I did meet with Warner Brothers, though.

Larry: And?

Tyrese: And...um...shoot me a prayer, Larry.

Larry: You got a shot?

Tyrese: I do.

From the looks of it, the Fast & Furious actor is in fact in talks for a chance to portray the iconic DC superhero. Instead of fans getting Hal Jordan again, we may be seeing John Stewart join the Justice League in the near future!
