It has been what seems like an eternity since Jeffery Dean Morgan was announced as The Walking Dead's ultimate 'big bad' and we already know that the Watchmen actor is "f*****g excited" to be joining the show. Now a fresh look at the finale also gives us a fresh look at the man himself.

Whilst quickly removed from the internet, a promo for episode 16 was leaked on Dutch television on Friday 25, giving us plenty to talk about. The 30 second peek foreshadows an encounter with Negan's group, The Saviors, where Rick says to them:

We can make a deal — right here, right now

A less than cheerful response from The Saviors says:

Sorry, we don't negotiate

It appears that luck could have run out for Rick Grimes and his plucky group of apocalypse survivors as they finally get to meet Negan. After last week losing Dr. Denise Cloyd, we are promised at least one more death before the end of the season.

The episode, Last Day on Earth, airs on April 3, where it looks like Negan and his barbed wire wrapped baseball bat (dubbed Lucille) will be causing trouble for our series regulars. The promo only gives away a snippet and whilst we don't see him face on, the voiceover and signature bat in hand assures us that the leather glad figure is in fact TWD's worst villain to date.

Creator Robert Kirkman recently told EW about an impending death in season six's finale:

All I want to say is, read the comic, but you’re not going to know what to expect...Part of the reason that that moment was such a big deal in the comic is the fact that you did not expect that it was going to happen, and so we’re very confident that we found a way to keep it as unexpected in the show as it was in the comic.
So it should be just as intense, just as heartbreaking, and just as shocking.

A special 90-minute finale will round off season six's epic story, but who will bite the bat?
