Batman v Superman debut proves that its the fans that make or break a movie with gigantic $170.1 million after being panned by the critics.

Batman v Superman scored the biggest pre-summer and Easter weekend opening with $170.1 million beating Furious 7 ($147.7 million).
Its also the biggest March opening weekend defeating The Hunger Games (152.5 million).
As one analyst said:
“It’s highly unusual to see a superhero movie that’s been panned like this with such a huge opening. Typically they open big and get great reviews,”
Biggest Opening For DC Comics & Warner Bros
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with a $170.1million opening is taking the studio’s all-time opening record, beating Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2‘s $169.1million.
Its now the best debut for a DC Comic Book movie beating The Dark Knight Rises ($160.9 million)and The Dark Knight ($158.4 million).
So, its a BIG win for Warner Bros. And also for Ben Affleck who should receive all the appreciation for his take on Batman.
