James Wan has horrified audiences with such films as The Conjuring, Insidious, Dead Silence, and Saw. This year will continue his production of films to scare audiences around the world. First up will be the sequel to his 2013 hit, The Conjuring. After that, he is producing the film Lights Out.
The recent trailer shows the continuing tails of Ed and Lorraine Warren. Hearing a tape of what sounds to be an elderly man but is actually a young girl that has been possessed. The couple head to England to investigate the horrifying events involving an innocent family.
The new trailer shows more of the terrifying scenes in the film. I already wanted to see this film, after living the first one, but now I'm even more excited for it. To me, Madison Wolfe, who plays the young possessed Janet, already looks like she is going to do an amazing job terrifying audiences. This may be premature, but she looks like modern Linda Blair playing Regan. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga look like they do an amazing job once again.
Next up, we have Lights Out. Although James Wan isn't directing this film, he will be a producer. This film began as a fifteen second short film. It was such a success that it was pushed to be made as a full length feature. The film involves a group of people being haunted by an unknown creature. The creature only appears when the lights are out. The group of people fight to stay in the light, while trying to figure out a way to rid themselves of this creature. Teresa Palmer will be this film's leading lady, taking on her first horror lead. Not much of the plot is given in the first trailer, but this looks like it will be a film to see. Keep up the good work James!
