This is my second part of my two part series of "14 Cartoons/Animes that Should Be Given Live Action Adaptations." Part one can be found here, and trust me your going to want to read that one first.

I hope you enjoy!

7. Samurai Jack

Samurai Jack (Cartoon Network)
Samurai Jack (Cartoon Network)

Genre: Action / Adventure

Medium: Movie Franchise

Visually speaking, this movie could be iconic much like the cartoon was. This show -like Gargoyles - was much darker than the usual show aimed towards children, but still has a large cult following to this day. If done correctly, this could be the next big movie franchise in Hollywood.

Possible Plot: Like in the original show. A young boy named Jack will be sent off to train in the art of becoming a samurai, and defeat the ancient evil known as Aku. Once he is grown and able to face Aku, the demon sends him into the future where Aku is the ruler of the Earth.

The franchise could become a trilogy that follows Jack as he tries to make his way back to the past while trying to rid the future world of Aku's evil.

6. Danny Phantom

Danny Phantom (Nickelodeon)
Danny Phantom (Nickelodeon)

Genre: Action / Superhero

Medium: Movie Franchise

I have to give credit to Collins Vincent for his article on Danny Phantom becoming a live action series here. I had not thought of the idea until I saw his article and thought about how brilliant it would be. Nickelodeon should jump at this opportunity while the superhero genre is still so hot.

Possible Plot: I think that a movie could follow Danny as the son of two scientists who are trying to come into contact with a different dimension. They succeeded in doing so, but Danny is accidentally given ghost powers after coming into contact with that dimension.

Danny becomes a beacon for ghosts to leave their dimension and wreak havoc on the real world, leaving Danny to fight them off and keep the world safe.

5. Zoids

Xoids (Cartoon Network)
Xoids (Cartoon Network)

Genre: Action / Sci-Fi

Medium: Movie Franchise

This is a lesser known Anime that has many different adaptations, but has a great base to build a plot on. A group of people piloting ancient, animal-like fighting machines just sounds like a good movie.

Possible Plot: I would base the plot off of Zoids: Chaotic Century. A boy named Van Flyheight is in the middle of a war on the Planet Zi between the Helic Republic and Guylos Empire. The only weapons used on this planet are called Zoids; large mechanical animal like beings that can merge with riders for battle. Each Zoid has its own rider and the two must work together to fight using the Zoids power and the rider's strategy.

4. Yu-Gi-Oh!

Genre: Sc-Fi / Action

Medium: Movie Franchise

I actually already made an article on the possibility of a Yu-Gi-Oh! movie that I will post a link to here. Who would not love to see a movie franchise create these amazing Duel Monsters using CGI magic?

Possible Plot: The link above outlined an entire plot, but I will do a short summary here. This movie will be loosely based on the original anime, where Duel Monsters is major, professional sporting event. You follow a young boy/girl protagonist who is an amateur duelist until his Grandfather/Grandmother/Mother/Father becomes ill and they need money in order to pay for the doctor's bills.

The family member is in possession of a legendary card that has not been used for centuries and our protagonist uses this card in order to help win the upcoming Duel Monsters championship and the money. They will have to fight off thieves and cheaters in order to accomplish his dreams.

3. Pokemon

Pokemon (4Kids)
Pokemon (4Kids)

Genre: Action /Adventure / Comedy

Medium: Movie Franchise

I think it is fair to ask why this hasn't been done yet. Maybe it is just me but I would give anything to see some of my favorite Pokemon get created in CGI realism. I think if you make this an adventure movie with plenty of comedy and aim it towards children then it would easily be successful if just a little bit of work was put into the story.

Possible Plot: I think this needs to be set up as a franchise from the start with the intention of sequels.

First Movie: Follow a young protagonist as they start their Pokemon journey. This first movie should focus on the protagonist's relationship with their Pokemon as they are attempting to catch a legendary Pokemon that their Father told them about. Along the way they also get their first few badges towards battling in the Pokemon league.

Second Movie: The protagonist continues to collect badges but along the way they get side tracked by the evil corporation Team Rocket.

Third Movie: Our protagonist has all of his/her badges and their legendary Pokemon, and is prepared to take on the trials and hardships of competing in the Pokemon League.

2. Batman Beyond

Batman Beyond (Cartoon Network)
Batman Beyond (Cartoon Network)

Genre: Action / Superhero

Medium: TV Series

Some might disagree with me on this being a TV series, but I think that DC will be hesitant to put another iteration of Batman on the silver screen. I think that this as a TV series could also allow for them to explore the future world of Gotham much better than if it were to be made a film.

Possible Plot: This plot should be identical to that of the original cartoon. Terry McGinnis is a troubled youth who stumbles upon an elderly Bruce Wayne and the Batcave. Terry uses the suit to fight crime as the new Batman. I think of course you have to make the Jokerz gang the season one antagonist.

I think that Greg Berlanti and the writers they have at DC could come up with some great original villains and stories.

1. Code Lyoko

Code Lyoko (Cartoon Network)
Code Lyoko (Cartoon Network)

Genre: Sc-Fi /Adventure / Action

Medium: TV Series

This French gem might not be the most well known cartoon on this list but I have it as my number one because it is just that good. The story and characters are tailor-made for a film. This movie could be similar to the more recent young adult films. I am aware that there was a live action take on this known as Code Lyoko: Evolution, but considering it's lack of popularity and

Possible Plot: Jeremie - originally a 13-year old in the cartoon; I would change him to 18+ for the series - attending Kadic Academy discovers an old supercomputer rusting away in an abandoned factory close to his school. When he boots the computer up he discovers that the computer is housing an entire virtual world called Lyoko inside.

Inside there is a girl named Aelita who is trapped in the world and claims she was once part of the real world. Aelita spends her days trying to survive the dangerous artificial intelligent multi-agent system known as X.A.N.A. that is attempting to kill her and escape the virtual world and take over the real one.

X.A.N.A. has been unable to escape because the computer had been dormant, but now that it has been accessed, he is able to start producing different means of materializing himself in the real world. Jeremie cannot turn off the computer though as he needs to find a way to save Aelita.

He enlists the help of his three friends Ulrich, Odd, and Yumi. Jeremie discovers a way to animate them into the virtual world through avatars as they attempt to keep Aelita safe and stop X.A.N.A.

The series would focus on the mystery of who created the computer and X.A.N.A., as well as figuring out how Aelita got trapped inside and how to save her.

I could see a channel like The CW getting their hands on this and making it successful. Honestly though I think that MTV could be a perfect fit with the young adult feel that this series would have. It would be full of mystery, love, and adventure, much like some of their already successful shows, like Teen Wolf or Shannara Chronicles.

Well that is my list! Tell me what you guys think about my ideas for the shows as well as the plots. Was there some shows that I missed? If so let me know in the comments, and thank you for reading.
